First REACH Cebu Team Building

While everyone was busy voting for the 2010 Barangay Election last October, we at REACH Cebu decided to have our first team building activity at Olango Island. So, yeah, we didn't vote. Hush. Let's just keep that a secret between us shall we?

Anyway, me and the girls decided to meet at Jollibee Mandaue to buy lunch. I was the first to arrive, obviously excited to be part of this excursion. In my three years stay in Cebu, I have never been to any island hopping escapade so it's a first for me. We decided to buy Jolly Bucket Meal. Whew! You can smell the aroma of fried chicken ten feet away. Imagine our agony having to carry that bucket and to wait until lunchtime to check if the chicken tasted as good as it smelled. he-he. Here's a snapshot of me and the girls on our way to Hilton Hotel. We almost never made it though. Thank God we remembered the hotel was colored pink!

We reached the pier at around 7:35 am and waited for the Ouano Family to arrive. Coincidentally, Kevin and Migs are home for their semester break so I finaly had the chance to get acquainted with these guys.

Upon our arrival at Olango island, we immediately posed for the camera. I had fun because like me, they are also picture crazy.

If we can only have our pictures taken with every step, I'm sure we would  all go for it. It took us two trikes to get to Olango Island Wildlife Sanctuary (OIWS). As expected, another pose at the entrance was on the top of the list.

After spending an hour at OIWS, we took another trike ride to Talima Adventure and Water Park. It is a newly opened resort and perfect for family bonding. Their main attraction is the Funflatables, a water recreation system featuring a giant inflatable slide, water trampolines and water rollers. They also offer zipline, atv and mountain bike rentals among other things. We paid 100 pesos for the enttrance, exclusive of park rides and attractions. They have a restaurant that serves lunch at a very affordable price. For inquiries...nah, just kidding. I'm not gonna advertise. he-he.

One good thing about team building is the chance to have a heart to heart talk in a less formal environment. We spent some time with Ate Annie and shared our prayer requests and past experiences.

happy faces on our way home
All of us were smiling as we depart from Talima and back to our respective places. Until next time. Thank you for dropping by. To God be the glory.
